Wines of South Africa Grand Tasting | A perfect night.

Are you a wine lover? Imagine being in a room with 200 or more different wines to taste. Isn’t that the dream?

That was exactly the case at the 5th Wines of South Africa Grand Tasting Tour held at the Kampala Serena Hotel last Saturday. Simply put, it was the perfect event!

It was a delightful evening. Soft music played in the background as the Grand Tasting attendees moved from stall to stall chatting to each other and to the exhibitors about the different wines they tasted.

The lovely staff of the Kampala Serena hotel kept the finger foods flowing all night for those who got peckish and I must say that they were really good! Good food and good wine -what’s not to love?

The tasting was held to promote awareness of South African wines as well as to increase distribution and sales of the Wines in the Ugandan market. A wide range of South African wines was presented β€”most of which are not yet available on the market. We were introduced to a lot of new wine brands, some of which will be launched onto the market next year.

The invite-only event attracted hundreds of guests including trade, media, VIP corporate clients, and diplomats, among others.

And after all was said and done, I got a box of goodies! Now if that’s not the perfect ending to a perfect night, I don’t know what is!

Kudos to Mr Matome Mbatha (WOSA market manager), his team and the partners. We had a great time!

Ps. This post is/was not sponsored.
